In short: Apple sells and bills every Scalin subscription, so Apple issues every refund. We cannot process one for you — but we can help you get it. Request at reportaproblem.apple.com, and write to us if it goes wrong.

1. Who you actually bought from

Scalin Pro is an in-app purchase sold through the Apple App Store. Apple is the merchant of record: Apple takes the payment, holds the payment details, issues the receipt and handles refunds under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions you accepted with your Apple Account.

We never receive your payment details and we have no ability to charge, credit or refund your card. Any refund has to come from Apple.

2. How to request a refund

  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple Account that made the purchase.
  2. Choose I'd like toRequest a refund.
  3. Pick a reason, select the Scalin purchase, and submit.

You can also request one from the App Store app (tap your photo → Purchased) or by contacting Apple Support directly. Apple decides each request; decisions usually arrive within 24–48 hours, and an approved refund is returned to the original payment method within a few business days.

Apple does not publish a fixed refund window and considers each case on its merits, including how long ago the purchase was made and how much the subscription was used. A request being denied by Apple is not something we can overturn.

3. Free trials

Scalin Pro is offered with a 7-day free trial, available once per Apple Account. You are not charged during the trial. To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends — cancelling still leaves you with Pro for the rest of the trial period.

If you have already used a free trial or introductory offer for Scalin, a new subscription starts as a paid period immediately.

4. How to cancel a subscription

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
  3. Select Scalin, then Cancel Subscription.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not refund the period you already paid for, and you keep Pro until that period ends.

Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Renewals continue until you cancel in Settings. This catches people out more than anything else on this page.

5. Statutory withdrawal rights (EU, UK and similar)

Consumers in the European Union, the United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions with equivalent rules generally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance purchase of digital content. Because Apple is the seller, that right is exercised through Apple, on the same Report a Problem page or through Apple Support. Apple's Media Services terms describe how it applies to purchases that start immediately.

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.

6. Common cases

SituationWhat to do
Charged after forgetting to cancel a trialRequest a refund from Apple and cancel the subscription in Settings.
Charged twice / unrecognised chargeCheck the Apple Account used, then Report a Problem. Apple can trace the receipt; we cannot.
Pro features missing after payingTap Restore Purchases on the paywall or in Settings, on the same Apple Account. If it still fails, email us — that is a bug, and we will help before you ask for a refund.
Subscription bought on another Apple AccountSign in with that account; subscriptions cannot be transferred between accounts.
App does not work on your deviceEmail us first with your iOS version and device — most of these are fixable, and if not, we will point you at the refund flow.

7. What we can do

We cannot issue money. We can: confirm whether something is a bug on our side, fix it, tell you exactly what to write to Apple, and — where a purchase clearly failed to deliver what it promised — say so in writing so you can attach it to your request. Write to support@scalinapp.com with the date of purchase, the plan, and what happened. We answer within a few business days.

8. Changes

The current version of this policy is always at scalinapp.com/refund, with the date at the top. Apple's own refund process may change independently of it; Apple's pages are always the authority on their side of the transaction.
